Fourth of July

We are gearing up for Fourth of July at Stagecoach Marina. The campground is full and our bookings are filling up. If you are in Steamboat and want to spend a morning, afternoon or full day on a pontoon boat, fishing boat, or kayak or paddle board, call us and make a reservation.

This summer the weather has been incredible. Last year we had a lot of wind and cool nights, but so far this year the evenings have been warm, the sunsets and sunrises vibrant and the fishing great!

We look forward to seeing you this weekend!

This fish was caught by Rocky Rodriguez jr on 8 lb test with 40 minutes of effort. Chartreuse power bait strikes again!

Stagecoach Marina Has Party Boats & Party Barges

If you are looking for party boats or party barges, Stagecoach Marina has what you need. Out here we have four pontoon boats, otherwise known as party boats or party barges. Two of our pontoon boats are 20′ and can accommodate 8-10 people. Our other two boats are 22′ pontoon boats that accommodate 10-12 people. Dogs are welcome on our pontoon boats for an additional $25.00 charge. Boat rentals are available for hourly rentals, half day rentals or full day rentals. Our half day pontoon boat rentals are by far the most popular and are a great way to spend a morning fishing or an afternoon floating across the lake. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 970-736-8342. Click here to book on-line.

RENTAL BOATS

All the boats are in! We had our first pontoon rental boats go out over Memorial Day Weekend. It was nice to see the Boston Whaler come back in with a stringer full of fish. The Boston Whaler is one of the brand new rental boats we added last year.

Although the water is still a bit cold, the stand up paddle boards, kayaks and canoes are sure to start renting soon.
If you are visiting Steamboat Springs we are just a 20 minute drive from town with spectacular scenery and a friendly atmosphere.  If you have plans to come out to Stagecoach Marina and are interested in a pontoon boat rental, fishing boat rental or small boat rental, feel free to call and make a reservation or make an on-line reservation. We hope to see you soon!

Fishing Report May 30, 2016

The trout bite could not be better. Everyone will try to tell you what’s working best. They all have a different opinion, which means you can’t go wrong. The trout are sitting mostly in the top water and active all day. A guy brought a picture into the Stagecoach Marina Store of him holding the 42″ pike he caught last week on power bait. Some smaller pike are starting to hit on the Rapala’s and spoons. The fish are biting. The time to fish is now.

Stagecoach Lake Fishing Report

These warm sunny days have got the water temperature up in the low 50s and the fish are active! Lots of people are catching lots of fish. The majority of them are last year’s stockers but some bigger ones are coming out as well. Check back in for more Stagecoach Lake and Steamboat fishing reports.

Docks Are In!

The docks are in so if you have a slip, bring your boat on out. If you’re looking for nightly slips you can now book online or call the Marina Store at 970-736-8342

Nightly and Dry Slips Filling Up Fast

Currently all of our wet slips are full for the season but we do have two seasonal dry slips available.

Our nightly boat slips are starting to fill up so if you have plans, let’s get you on our schedule as soon as possible. Call us at 970-736-8342.

Opening Day Almost Here!

This week we have been putting the docks in at Stagecoach Marina. The docks will be completely set up by end of day on the 15th of May and we are looking forward to opening for the season.

We also put our first rental pontoon boat in the lake yesterday. The lake was glassy and the winds held off until the afternoon, which made for a perfect first day. The waters are warming up daily. All of our pontoon boats are new or have been recently reupholstered so that our guests can have the best experience possible.

Fishing Update from Steamboat Boat Rentals for the week of July 12-19

Well the afternoon thunderstorms are in full effect and there should not be much of a fire season this summer at Stagecoach Lake or throughout Steamboat Springs.

That being said there are still lots of folks having a good time fishing at the Stagecoach Lake. Most mornings have been wonderful. A little rain and clouds only seem to keep the fish active. This is not the best time of year to catch trout but the wise anglers are still finding them. I recommend dry flies  early to mid morning and late afternoons. The chartreuse Power Bait on a Carolina rig always seems to work. The pike are still active and they are still hanging out on the grassy shoreline.  Think big and think shiny or bright. The big ones seem to attack out of irritation as much as out of interest so do not hesitate to be persistent.

Come on out and see us. We would love to help you make the most of this short summer season. Remember to call ahead  or email us for a fishing boat rental or pontoon boat rental reservation especially on the weekends. There are no shortage of fun seekers and we want to be ready and waiting to help you have a great and memorable day.

Look close. Yes that is a walleye caught at Stagecoach Lake. Taken just a few weeks ago it is proof of a reason to keep trying. Fish on!!
