If you are planning a visit to Stagecoach State Park or Stagecoach Marina, there are a few things you need to know:
- You need a parks pass to enter Stagecoach Stage Park. Daily vehicle passes are $9 or you can buy an annual pass for $80
- Campsites are available to rent through Colorado Parks & Wildlife : https://cpw.state.co.us/placestogo/parks/Stagecoach/Pages/Camping.aspx
- You can bring your own boat but note all boats must be inspected before they are put in the water to protect the waters from invasive species.
- If you want to rent a fishing boat, pontoon boat, paddleboard (SUP), kayak or fishing poles, you can do that through SteamboatSpringsBoatRentals.com located at Stagecoach Marina inside Stagecoach Stage Park.
- We recommend making reservations on-line in advance, especially for July 4th weekend which always sells out: https://www.steamboatspringsboatrentals.com/services/
- Arrive a few minutes early to make sure all paperwork is filled out and so you can get the most out of your rental
- Friendly staff will help you in and out of your boat slip
- Life jackets are provided for kids, youth and adults
- Ask for fishing tips from staff
- There are several hiking trails in and around Stagecoach. These include the trail around the lake (10 miles), the trail that climbs up behind the dam (2.6 miles) and nearby Sarvis Creek trailhead. We recommend taking plenty of water and layers for any hike as weather changes rapidly in Colorado.
- Altitude might affect people visiting, so drink plenty of water and bring aspirin.
- The store at Stagecoach Marina is filled with everything you need from fishing lures to fishing lines, pole rentals, food, snacks, sunscreen, mouthwash, books and so much more!
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact the Stagecoach Marina Store at: 970-736-8342.
Pro Tip: Always wear sunscreen even if it’s cloudy. Remember, when the sun goes down, temperatures drop immediately and significantly so bring warm layers.
